1 hr. testing the right fuel tank.

Inflated the balloon and soaped up this end rib and heard air leaking pretty loud, but no bubbles...  Turns out there were two small pinholes on the side of the fuel sender plate. The holes were big enough that it was just blowing away the soapy water so it didn't blow bubbles.  Not sure how I ended up with these holes.  I put in some Loctite 290 wicking thread lock to suck into it overnight and tomorrow I'll mix up some sealant to seal it.  The fixture for the fuel vent was blowing some bubbles so I'll check that tomorrow.  Other than those two spots no other leaks were found.

This is how I blew up the balloon.  After inflating the balloon I put the end cap on this fixture.

NEXT TASKS:
  1. Remove plastic and deburr fuselage parts while the tank is being tested (and any other spare time I have).
  2. Seal pinholes on the side of the fuel sender plate and retest.
  3. Mark all wing bolts.
  4. Fuel tank on.  Just loosely bolted at this point.
  5. Top skins riveted on (STRINGERS!).  Top skins of left wing need priming first.  Fill rivets with Bondo.
  6. Leading edge riveted on (STRINGER!).  Fill rivets with Bondo.
  7. Rivet fuel tank on.  Fill rivets with Bondo.
  8. Install landing lights.
  9. Wing tip assembly and light installation.
  10. Finish sanding of left wing bottom rivet heads.
  11. Finish right wing (4,5,6,7,8,9,10).
  12. Finally finish one of the composite tips of the elevator.
  13. Fill rivets of elevator with Bondo.
  14. START ON FUSELAGE!
