One thing that has been somewhat limiting my time on the plane (but not too much! ;-)) is an idea I've been working on. It's called Emergency Runways. I actually first had the idea back in 2008 and built an early website back then. But, it got put on the back burner after awhile. Not anymore! After talking to other pilots and entrepreneur friends I decided to spin the prop again.
I've spent the last few months writing the detailed specifications and now the development team is in place to develop my EmergencyRunways.com website and app for use in flight and we're moving ahead to make it the reality I envisioned back then!
I'm offering deep discounts on paid memberships (there will also be limited free memberships) in order to raise money to complete the development and launch the service.
The first 100 signed up at $75 will get lifetime subscriptions for no additional cost! After that the next 50 at $150 will get the same deal.

I haven't disappeared! I've been working hard on an aviation safety startup idea I've had, so I've been super focused on getting that to the next step. I'll post something on that tonight.
I also have arriving today a bunch of boxes from TAF! Including my eagerly anticipated quick built canopy. I'll try and post pictures of that tonight.

1.5 hrs. clearing out garage as much as possible to make room for arriving sub-kits. Should be interesting... String wiring through the rear fuselage and prepping parts for the throttle and brake lever assemblies. And a math problem for my blog readers. ;-)
Other than the magnometer, all the wiring in the rear fuselage is strung through. Elevator trim, COM1, COM2, VOR and tail lights.
Part gathering...
Know basic trig and geometry? Like a challenge? I've been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out the following and I feel like I'm one or two relationships away from solving this. Any thoughts? Email me if you solve it or have a hint! Note that the tangent line seems to point toward the upper point, but that's merely coincidental. If you moved the lower right point up a bit, it clearly wouldn't.
