1 hr. wiring the 1st Garmin DB-9 connector for the GMU 11.

Making sure I have the right orientation and numbering.

The power and ground pins crimped on and some heat shrink to keep it tidy.  Striped is power.

Looks good.

The other 2-core is for the end of the CAN Bus, so we're going to ground the shield to the clamshell.

Cut back and folder over the insulation (as per the NASA doc).

Drain wire in and solder seal over it.

Heat gun applied and it's connected.  I checked the other end of the shield with an ohmmeter and we're good.

This is how the pins are crimped.

Other pins inserted (they need to click in).

Clamshell on, hold down bar (not sure that's the actual name) on (ridges up) and CAN terminator attached to the front.  Other than screwing down the drain wire (need to get a terminal lug), we're done.  That wasn't too hard.
